Dr Gerald Green Receives Avenue of Service Award

President Leroy Koehn over saw the presentation of the Avenue of Service Award to Dr. Gerald Greene which is the highest and the most prestigious award given by a Rotary Club to an active member.
Dr. Gerald Greene was honored with his award for 35 years of service to Rotary at the local, district, national, and international levels. He is a Past District Governor of District 5690 and has spent hundreds of hours in Panama leading local Rotarians in the building of schools and digging water wells to supply them with clean water. He was one of the leaders who helped start an Interact Club (Rotary Youth Club) at Newton High School and raised funds by selling fruit through out the year so The Rotary Club of Newton could give all 3rd graders in Harvey County and Berean Academy dictionaries for the fifth year in a row.
